By accessing jeremylabrooy.com or engaging any services offered by Jeremy LaBrooy (operated under the Labrooy Family Trust, ABN:36 067 181 969), you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Offered

Jeremy LaBrooy provides the following services:

  • Private bass guitar lessons — in person (Melbourne) and online via video call
  • Freelance bass performance — live events, studio recording, and touring
  • Band bookings — for events, functions, and corporate engagements
  • Music composition — for film, television, advertising, and digital media

2. Bookings & Enquiries

All bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only upon receipt of a confirmation from Jeremy LaBrooy or an authorised representative. Submitting an enquiry or contact form does not constitute a confirmed booking.

For lessons and performances, specific terms (scheduling, fees, cancellation conditions) will be agreed upon directly between you and Jeremy LaBrooy prior to engagement.

3. Payment

Payment terms will be specified at the time of booking. Payments are to be made by the agreed method and due date. We reserve the right to cancel or withhold services where payment is not received in accordance with agreed terms.

Payments are processed securely via third-party payment providers. We do not store credit card or banking details.

4. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling policies apply to lesson and performance bookings and will be communicated at the time of engagement. Generally:

  • Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice for lessons may be charged at the full lesson rate
  • Performance and band booking cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee depending on the engagement agreement

Jeremy LaBrooy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule bookings in circumstances beyond our control (illness, venue issues, force majeure) with reasonable notice.

5. Intellectual Property

All content on jeremylabrooy.com — including text, images, audio samples, compositions, and recordings — is owned by Jeremy LaBrooy or licensed for use. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without prior written permission.

Original compositions commissioned by clients remain the intellectual property of Jeremy LaBrooy unless a written assignment of rights is expressly agreed in a separate contract.

6. Website Use

You agree to use jeremylabrooy.com only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website or its systems
  • Transmit harmful, offensive, or unlawful content via any forms or communications channels
  • Use automated tools to scrape or harvest content from the website

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jeremy LaBrooy and the Labrooy Family Trust will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from use of this website or engagement of our services.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services will not exceed the amount paid by you for the relevant service.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

8. Australian Consumer Law

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have services remedied if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Accessing those sites is at your own risk.

10. SMS & Marketing Communications
