What You Will Actually Learn
Here is what bass guitar lessons with me looks like in practice:
- Playing songs you love. We start with music that motivates you – real songs, not just dry exercises.
- Solid technique. Right-hand position, left-hand framing, muting, and timing. The foundations that prevent bad habits and unlock more advanced playing later.
- Reading music. You will learn to read notes on the stave. It is not as difficult as people expect, and it opens doors that playing by ear alone cannot.
- Band-ready skills. Locking in with a drummer, holding a groove, navigating rock, funk, jazz, and R&B. The skills that make you genuinely useful when a band needs a bassist.
- Advanced techniques when you are ready. Slapping, muted thumb, tapping, double stops. There is always a next level.
