Bass Guitar Lessons Near Clyde
Clyde and Clyde North are growing fast. New estates, new streets, young families moving into the City of Casey every week. It’s one of Melbourne’s most active new suburban corridors – and it’s exactly the kind of place where the demand for quality music tuition is rising before the supply has caught up.
If you’re searching for bass guitar lessons near Clyde, you’ve probably already noticed the gap.
I’m Jeremy LaBrooy. I teach bass guitar from my private studio in Sandhurst – approximately 20 minutes from Clyde via South Gippsland Highway and Frankston-Dandenong Road. One instrument. One teacher. Lessons for all ages, all levels.
The Gap in Clyde
Clyde is still establishing itself. The nearest music teachers are in Cranbourne or further away, and dedicated bass specialists are rare anywhere in this corridor. For families in Clyde and Clyde North who want genuine, specialist tuition – for their children, or for themselves – a short drive to Sandhurst is a practical, worthwhile option.
As the suburb grows, so does the demand for great local music teaching. Getting set up with a specialist teacher now means you’re ahead of the curve, not chasing it.
20 Minutes Up the Road
My studio is in Sandhurst 3977. From Clyde, take South Gippsland Highway north and connect to Frankston-Dandenong Road – around 20 minutes in normal traffic. It’s a straightforward run.
Purpose-built home studio. One student at a time. No shared rooms, no waiting around, no distractions. Just focused, one-on-one bass lessons.
Who These Lessons Are For
Clyde’s demographic is exactly who I teach best: young families, children starting out, teenagers developing their playing, and adults who’ve always wanted to learn properly.
Students from Clyde Secondary College and Clyde Primary School are welcome – both schools are growing rapidly, and private specialist tuition is the complement that takes a student further than school music alone. Whether your child is curious about the bass for the first time, or you’re looking to support someone who’s getting serious about their playing, one-on-one lessons move at the right pace.
Adults are just as welcome. You don’t need prior experience. You just need to want to play.

What You’ll Learn
Whether you’re a complete beginner or a developing player, here’s what I work on with every student:
- Technique – correct hand position, finger dexterity, tone, and timing built right from the start
- Songs you love – real music, the music that keeps you motivated to pick up the bass each week
- Music theory in context – reading, rhythm, scales, and harmony applied directly to the bass guitar
- Style – rock, pop, funk, reggae, R&B, and more; I match the content to the player
- Advanced techniques – slap, muted thumb, double stops, tapping, and beyond when you’re ready
